Welcome to the Southeast Texas Counseling Association
The Southeast Texas Counseling Association (SETXCA) serves the counties of Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Polk, and Chambers, covering a vast region. Your support is crucial to our success in reaching every counselor, counselor-in-training, and other mental health professionals and advocates in these eight counties. Together, we can establish and expand this organization for the future of the mental health industry.
SETXCA’s vision includes hosting meetings and events to keep attendees informed about the latest developments in the counseling field. We also aim to provide professionals with opportunities to earn continuing education hours, share their knowledge, and advocate for their profession and marginalized communities. Ultimately, SETXCA seeks to create a supportive space where professionals can connect, feel nurtured, and uplifted.
Southeast Texas Counseling Association is a local chapter of the Texas Counseling Association. SETXCA is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
Message from the President
Welcome to the SETX Chapter of the TCA!
As a newly revitalized chapter, we are thrilled to create a renewed vision for our organization. We look forward to broadening our network with a focus on equity, belonging, and advocacy. This inaugural year promises to be an exciting one, filled with networking initiatives, enriching self-care opportunities, and the unification of our professional community. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where counselors can thrive, share best practices, and grow both personally and professionally. The primary focus is on establishing a solid foundation for our chapter’s growth and success.
I encourage each of you to get involved and take advantage of the opportunities to grow, learn, network, and connect. Your participation and input are invaluable to our association’s success. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and continue to elevate the counseling profession in and around Southeast Texas.
Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this important work. I look forward to working with each of you and seeing all that we will accomplish together in the coming year.
Warm Regards,
Emily Ross, LPC-S, CCTP
